We went to Hanoi 1990s Café on the southern stretch of Train Street. Here’s the schedule sign, how we found the entrance, and what we ordered.

WHERE WE WENT

Hanoi 1990s Café

We chose the southern section instead of the main busy stretch, and preferred it. I messaged the café on WhatsApp about 20 minutes before we headed over to arrange our visit.

Finding the entrance was a little confusing because Grab dropped us at a generic address. I messaged the café again, and someone came out to bring us inside. They were super helpful.

I ordered an egg coffee for 70,000 VND, and my brother ordered an egg beer for 80,000 VND. We both liked our drinks. Those were the prices on our visit.

OUR EVENING

Two trains. Two directions.

An evening on Hanoi Train Street.

We arrived at 6:30 PM to get a good seat for the 7:20 PM slot. On our visit, two trains passed roughly eight minutes apart from opposite directions, which gave us different shots.

The two directions gave us different angles to film from our seats.

Seeing the train pass that close was a completely new experience for us.
